Youth Development AI Training 2026: Application rules for completely free courses and daily allowance in 64 districts

The government has launched a special course on artificial intelligence for unemployed youth in 64 districts of the country. The Department of Youth Development under the Ministry of Youth and Sports is implementing this program. The main objective of this course is to increase the practical IT skills of the youth.

The official name of the project is “Skill Development of IT-savvy Youth through Artificial Intelligence Technology”. Candidates aged 18 to 35 with a minimum HSC pass can participate in this course. Interested candidates can submit their applications online by 23 September 2026.

Training opportunities and financial grants

There is no fee to participate in this training. The government will provide a daily travel allowance of Tk 200 to the trainees. A student will receive a total allowance of Tk 10,000 for 50 working days.

Daily meals and snacks will be provided at the center during the training. Upon successful completion of the course, a government certificate will be issued by the Department of Youth Development. This 300-hour practical course will be conducted for 6 hours daily.

Application Eligibility and Preliminary Requirements

The applicant must have passed at least HSC or equivalent examination from any education board. The age limit of the candidate must be between 18 and 35 years.

Candidates with basic knowledge of computer operation will get priority in this course. Besides, those who have the ability to understand general English will be ahead in the selection examination. 30 percent quota will be reserved for female candidates in each training batch.

It is mandatory to carry this printed copy, national identity card, and original copy of the certificate on the day of the exam.

The classes will be held directly at the Youth Development Department office in your own district. To ensure smooth implementation of the training program, the government has divided the entire country into 4 packages. Four leading technology companies will provide trainers and technical support for this training.

Written and oral exam preparation strategies

After the application verification, the eligible candidates will be informed about the exam center and schedule on their mobile numbers. The written exam will be held on September 26 and the oral exam on September 27.

ICT preparation

Questions on basic computer topics may come in the written exam. Give a revision of input-output devices, operating systems and basic shortcuts of Microsoft Office. Have a clear idea about the full form and basic uses of artificial intelligence or AI.

Oral exam preparation

The candidate’s English comprehension skills will be tested in the viva board. Prepare to present yourself fluently in English. Practice answering the question “Why do you want to learn AI?” in two to three sentences in English.
